HORNADY - 270 Winchester Brass 50/Box

I've only bought Hornady and Winchester brass. Weights did range a bit which I noticed makes a difference when you get near max loads or compressed loads. I suspect that creates pressure differences that matter a lot in target shooting. Other then the very small weight range the brass was practically flawless. The Winchester brass had a higher range in weight and not a single flash hole of the 150 that I bought looked right or were the same. Every single one of them were oval in shape and misaligned, I mean to tell you, it's bad, I can't believe it. For the price you can not go wrong with Hornady 270 Brass from my experience.

I bought these for my hunting rifle which is know is capable of sub 1 moa to 400 yards. I prepped this hornady brass and some cheap starline brass I got on sale. And this brass despite the increased priced performed significantly worse. I can do sub 1 with a few loads using th starline brass. With the batch of hornady I received I couldn't do better than 2 moa.

I was very disappointed with this brass. All brass was from the same lot number. After weighting all 50, I came up with anywhere from 176.4 to 180.4 GR. It must have been made on a Monday. I have purchased Hornady brass before with good results.

This brass took the most effort of any brass I have used to seat the primers. Most took more grunts to get them flush with the head. Hornady says they are SAAMI spec, but by my measurement with a digital and analog micrometers only 4 were Minimum by digital and 1 by analog (more accurate) were SAAMI minimum and the remainder out of 11 fired cases were smaller than SAAMI specifications. Probably will junk this box of 50 after shooting them. Very disappointed. Highly do not recommend.
