LYMAN CYCLONE ROTARY TUMBLER

The Cyclone Rotary Tumbler takes brass cleaning to a whole new level. The rotary tumbling action combined with the stainless steel media and liquid cleaning solution gets brass cleaner on the outside than vibratory tumbling methods. The small stainless pins easily slip inside cases and into primer pockets to provide superior cleaning action in these areas. Something that vibratory tumbler will not do! The large capacity drum holds up to 1000 pieces of .223 brass and features a rubber lining to protect brass and greatly reduce noise during operation. A built in timer in the base can be set to run from 0 to 3 hours, shutting off automatically. The drum features a large end cap to allow easy loading and unloading. In addition, the tumbler comes with a pair of unique sifter pans which makes separating pins from the cases a breeze! Simply empty the tumbler into the stacked pans. The first pan catches the brass, while the second fine screen pan catches the pins. Five pounds of stainless media pins and a sample packet of Brass Cleaning Solution are also included.

Fast, Efficient and more quiet.

Been using other types for more than 50 years, but this Lyman is absolutely hands down superior. Does make a bit of noise, but not enough where I had to wear ear muffs like I did with my old vibrators. You need to be a bit extra careful with the SS Needles. Don't rinse them or try to pour them back into the drum in the kitchen sink, especially the side with the garbage disposal (don't ask me how I know). I rinse outside on the porch with a garden hose. When wet, needles do not pour well from basket back into drum, so I air dry for a couple days. Wet needles collect inside cases so I used my air compressor with a small diameter hose nozzle inserted inside the cases to blow any out and also speed up drying. Inside of the cases were amazingly clean. Rotation speed is pretty fast and so is the cleaning. One hour on the mechanical timer seems more than needed. The timer knob auto off function is one outstanding feature. The only thing I wish different is that it would be made in America.

Perfect tumbler systen

Best setup tumbler ever. Out of the box this kit is top notch. Comes complete with everything you need to tumble from nasty range brass into bright reloadable ammo in no time

Awesome Tumbler

This system is fantastic! I used to dry tumble, and it would take a long time. This system gets the brass clean in about an hour with a few drops of dawn and 1/2 teaspoon of lemishine. The pins that come with this system are magnetic so I use a large magnet to help with pin retrieval. I have a Frankford Arsenal brass dryer which works great too. The only issue I have had is the container started leaking after 4 batches of brass tumbling. I called Lyman this morning and was told that overtightening will damage the gasket. I am sure I overtightened the lid because that's what I tend to do. Lyman is sending me a replacement free of charge. This really is a fantastic product, and I would highly recommend this system. It also comes with two sorting baskets. One for brass; the other for the pins. They work great. I fill my Dillon media separator bin/tub half full with water to help rinse the brass and catch pins. It's been working great.

Best system yet.

Used this to polish 315 pieces of 222 brass that I annealed. Only system I've found to remove annealing color from brass. I use 2 Tsp. Dawn with 1/4 Tsp. Lemi bright for 1 hour. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the fastest system.

Perfectly clean!

I got a killer deal on this from Brownells and it arrived today. Ive already run ~3000 pieces of brass. I love this product! Ive been dry tumbling before sizing and ultrasonic cleaning after. This will replace both. Brass comes out shiny, inside and out, primer pockets included. To be fair, cleanup isno easier than any other method, but its no harder either. Do yourself a favor and buy a transfer magnet, or a media separator, or both. I cant believe this isnt the standard cleaning method...
