Inconsistent Milling between slides. Decent product.
I have one that is ported and one that is not. The one with the port is NOT an actual 407K milled MOS slide-There is NO front recoil lugs at all for optic mount, its milled completely flat. The one that is not ported has the actual 407K milled footprint with the correct short front recoil lugs. What the heck Brownells? I might be returning the one the ported one since it was also advertised as having a 407K footprint, which it does NOT!
Good but not great.
Fit and finish on the slide itself is very good. My only change would be plastic sights and a OEM Glock upper parts kit. When mounted to an oem g43x mos frame there was an audible rattle from the firing pin housing. Swapped an oem g43x upper parts kit and resolved the issue. Other than those 2 minor complaints this is an all around good buy.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
3 because
I gave this a three star review due to the fact that this particular slides rear sight notch was cut in such a way that I was able to push the rear night sight I purchased in by hand luckily the rear sight has a tension screw otherwise it would fall out, and may still fall out , I have a range day scheduled to see how it runs.
Unfortunate, but Unfair
This is only a 3 star, but it may be considered undeserved, so I'll explain. This is designed for the Glock 43/43X platform, it does NOT mention any sort of aftermarket or clone frame compatability. I got this to try out on a Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger frame, and it works . . . . Kinda. There are some (and by some I mean it turns this into a single-shot pistol) issues with feeding rounds getting caught on the striker before being grabbed by the extractor (not cool). Some online research says the fix is to get a Glock OEM slide parts kit. Not great if you wanted to buy and go. Another is the recoil spring seems to be not interchangeable with standard 43/43x recoil springs, so no slide-to-mag timing is capable with this slide. Overall, I very much so wanted this to work as the slide itself does look good and seems to be of high quality, especially for the price.
