COMPLETE SLIDE ASSEMBLIES FOR GLOCK 43® Reviews & Ratings

Fully Assembled, Complete Slide Assembly for New Builds or Upgrading Your Factory G43

Ready to build a new custom pistol or just upgrade your current Glock® 43? Top it off with our Complete Slide Assembly for Glock® 43, available in three configurations: with a premium match-quality barrel, a ½"-28 tpi threaded barrel to accept a sound suppressor, or with a ported barrel that vents through a window in the top of the slide to counteract muzzle rise and help you keep the sights on the target for subsequent shots. No need to install a bulky compensator on the muzzle, so your new comped pistol will still fit standard holsters for the Glock® 43.

These slides come fully assembled with the barrel and all the internal small parts installed, making this 407K Slide the ideal upgrade for your factory Glock® 43 pistol or the perfect "top half" for a brand-new custom gun built on a compatible frame from another manufacturer. It features a pre-cut slot for easy, secure, low-profile mounting of a reflex red dot sight that fits the Holosun 407K footprint. If you're not mounting a red dot at the moment, we've included a lightweight reinforced polymer cover plate to neatly fill the slot. This slide comes with standard-height front and rear sights, which can serve as your primaries or a backup "iron" sights when paired with a red dot sight.

  • Comes COMPLETE with barrel, front & rear sights, and small parts installed
  • Fits Glock® 43 pistols & clonesBuilt-in mounting slot for reflex sights with the Holosun 407k footprint

  • Choice of Solid top slide with standard barrel or ½"-28 tpi threaded barrel, OR distinctive top Window slide with ported/compensated barrel

Each of our slides for Glock® starts life as a billet of 416 stainless steel that is machined to Glock® factory specifications inside, with a tough, extremely wear-resistant black Nitride finish. This slide fits standard Glock® factory G43 frames and compatible aftermarket frames. The match-quality barrel is machined from premium 416R stainless steel alloy. The muzzle of the threaded barrel has standard ½"-28 tpi threads. The ported barrel has eight ports angled to provide just the right counterforce to muzzle rise.

On the sides at the rear, you'll find distinctive wide, shallow cocking serrations that give excellent "purchase" to rack the slide, plus a mirrored set of serrations up front that aid in manipulating the slide to press-check the chamber. Both sets of serrations make it easy to manipulate your pistol's slide from any angle and in any position. Hey, we have to admit these serrations just look very cool, too!

Whether you're assembling a custom pistol to meet specific needs, or you're upgrading a factory Glock 43 for enhanced performance and versatility, a Brownells complete slide assembly is helps you complete your project quickly and easily!

I will call it an upgrade
So this arrived wrapped in plastic and inside a plastic sleeve. This made storing and the original slide easy and I also put the new slide cover and screws inside the sleeve so "back to original" will be easy to find. Just spinning it in the hands you call tell overall it is slightly thicker (enough to later feel some binding in a kydex holster) and even with some metal removed, slightly heavier. Clean machining, clean and complete coating, and aside from an ever so slightly rougher texture, cosmetically a match for the original color. The barrel, clearly not OEM Glock, does not extend from the end of the slide as far as the original. At rest the original has the barrel about 1/8 beyond the slide end (where a bushing would be on a 1911) while this one is flush. The recoil spring and guide to do not appear to be OEM Glock. Sights appear to be Glock OEM as does the extractor. I suspect the striker and other internals would be too hard to tell unless they had OEM stampings so I did not dig further. I could scavenge them from the original slide if needed. The top holes are M4 if you have a screw kit. I added an optic and you will likely need to as well. The front white dot sight is completely black/gray after about a magazine. The port gasses coat it and so a plastic one will not do well. Don't waste money on a fiber optic or glowing front sight either. It will be ruined by the ports. Not that they would not be of any value in a "just need a few good shots" scenario, it's just that you will have to scrub the wholesale crap out of them afterwards and fiber and painted ring fronts will not last doing so. Primary Question was answered - Yes, it does take the hand bite away from this little gun. It makes it actually pleasant to shoot with no finger bites under the trigger shoe on my hand. I spent a good bit of time shooting one handed and it does what the claims claim. I used a coffee can of mixed hollow points to zero it, probably the first 75 rounds, and found that it liked the shorter more tapered ogive and the more powder the better. The longer OAL of the round, the more likely it was to bind during feeding and require a slight slide retreat and muzzle down shake to get it to go into battery. Training with two cheap 115g FMJ boxes it would FTF about 1 in 30 times, I suspect that was a power issue. Now that I got past the 150 round mark it got less picky about hotter and longer rounds. I have upwards of 300 rounds through it now- which is my minimum break in for anything I intend to carry. The 124+P Gold Dot and 124+P HST both ran all three carry magazines without failure. So, if you put some "oomph" in it, keep it lubed (I used Tetra PTFE grease on my rails and STP/DEx mix on the barrel) mine was 100% reliable.
