Nicked and passed thru Q/C, and rough finish. Buy H&R retro instead.
Bought BRN16A1 upper to make an M16A1 clone. I have not had chance to fire it yet but two issues right off the bat. One is the finish of upper receiver feels rougher/grittier than any other uppers I own, including a PSA H&R 723 A1 upper.
Also, there is a nick in the bottom of the upper where it meets the lower and it was finished with the nick. (see picture - you can see it still has black finish intact so it wasn't nicked by me after I received it).
Again I have not had the chance to fire it to test for function - but for the money, I would say just skip this upper and buy the H&R upper instead. I expected better finish and Q/C since this is close to $200 more expensive than H&R, but I seem to have gotten a worse product.
