Spend the extra money and get a real HK
These are no where near the quality of an HK upper. 416 or the 556. For the same money after buying a rail you a get an MR556 upper with a buffer and spring.
I bought two and sold them after shooting them. Multiple malfunctions with 4 different ammos. 556&223.
I used them first on an HK lower then tried multiple others. Multiple jams. Multiple malfunctions. I think maybe 20-30rds were able to be fired in over 4hrs at the range.
Jams were insane to where mallets had to used every time.
These are junk. I was kind of shocked. Even with the extra $200 off I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d almost prefer a well oiled palmetto over these. And that says a lot!!!
Poor tolerances
The machining marks on this thing are terrible. I wasn’t expecting HK quality at the price but even Anderson machines cleaner than this. On top of that the tolerance on the barrel nut is so bad my Geissele rail has significant wiggle when installed. Really disappointed in Brownells on this one.
Keeps ripping the rim off case
Managed to shoot 6 rounds. Required cleaning rod to extract case because 50% of rounds got the rim ripped off the case. I’m not sure how to go about getting help with this, but seems massively over gassed.
