Good fit

Drops in, easy install. Works well, just note that the canted edge you see is what your finger will be on when you want to lock the bolt back. So youll see a flat and shiny edge sticking out. Some designs have serrations and/or are black which you may prefer. Functionality is good, a must have part for americas favorite rim-fire rifle.

Get it.

This piece works exactly as designed, a huge step up from fiddling with the factory lock to release the bolt. Only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is it came with NO instructions. Happily there is information on the net to cover it, including videos, but there really should be an instruction sheet included by Volquartsen with these.

Awesome!

This is a must for anyone with a 10/22. I got tired of trying to find that little bolt hold open/release lever and trying to manipulate it just right to make it work... frustrating. This makes things so much easier when trying to close the bolt and get back into battery. Simply pull back on the bolt ever so slightly and let go. Easy to do one-handed with either hand for improved speed. The only thing that's different than stock is there is some material missing. If you knew enough about the operation of a 10/22 you could probably dremel out the material that's not needed and make it work. However, it's worth my time and saves me from fumbling around by buying this. My only complaint is I wish it was slightly longer on the end that sticks out of the receiver to make it a little easier to use... that seems to be the biggest problem for me and my sausage fingers with this or the stock release. Installation is easy if you're somewhat familiar with the 10/22 trigger housing. remove the upper pin that has a spring touching it and the pin at the bottom near the safety and the magazine release is. This is a great product to buy if you're looking for faster reloading or a simpler way to release the bolt.
