Quality Control Issue

My old steel cutter head had dulled so decided to go the for the "quality" product at the higher price. After I received it, I replaced the old head and I found that the Allen screw that holds the case mouth guide was malformed. The Allen wrench would just spin in the screw head. I called Brownells and asked if I could be sent another screw. That couldn't be done. Things are complicated these days. The Brownells' service person instead called Lyman. Lyman was closed, but (I was told) a message had been left with Lyman to send the screw to me. Two weeks later nothing had happened so I called Lyman. They said they had no record of of any contact with Brownells, nor had anything been sent to me. I was told to send proof of purchase to The Lyman service person and they would send it out. I have now sent the proof of purchase to Lyman. I will update this review if or when I get the set screw.

Not the best

Ive had mine for about 4 years now. Of course, the price of it now is about 40% higher. As others have described, it does not center up in the jaws every time. It died to have the pilot tip in the case a little before you start. I felt its hard to reproduce the same length. You have to be very disciplined on not use to much force while turning. Otherwise, youll end up with a short case. It would also be nice if it came with more collets.

does the job

Used this product briefly, it helped me produce accurate ammo but was not satisfied with the squareness of the mouth trim. Cutting shaft had noticeable wobble when turned, but the wobble minimized when trimming an actual case
