308 AR CLEANING LINK Reviews & Ratings

This item is a must have for cleaning your 308 AR. The Link separates the upper and lower assemblies, but holds them securely to allow easy breech access for bore cleaning using a Sinclair Rod Guide. Made of Delrin and stainless steel, it is virtually impervious to solvents. The Cleaning Link uses the rear locking pin and rear locking pin hole and installs in seconds.

SPECS: Will require fitting for most takedown pins other than the Armalite AR-10. Will not work on POF .308 rifles, Windham Weaponry SRC 308, or Colt LE901 with .250 diameter takedown pins, use the AR-15 model 749-002-497.

Sinclair AR-10 Cleaning Link

The design and application are the same as my almost 20 year-old AR-15 link. The older one was machined out of a solid piece of Delrin. This one has the armatures milled out which may weaken the structural integrity over time. The residual chaff was not removed from product after insertion of the upper retaining pin hub. The retaining pin for the upper receiver is exact dimensions for DPMS and Stag Arms. The lower receiver retaining pin hole however is not. Other reviewers commented on the need to ream out to larger diameter for use. I too found this to be true. I reamed hole out to 17/64ths for a desired tight fit. Thus only 4 stars, otherwise a good product to have on the cleaning bench.
