Ruger Standard magazine release
Ruger Standard magazine release is great! Makes removing the magazine super easy. Especially with older magazines with weak springs.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Late to the party
I had no idea this extended magazine release existed. Great product. It installed perfectly and you would think it is a factory product.
Better than expected
I bough this to replace the factory release that had some finish wear on it (gun was new to me). I was a little unsure about having an extend release. I didn't want anything protruding too far. I can honestly say I an quite pleased. It doesn't stick out too far at all. The picture on the Brownell's site makes the part look rough and crude, but mine was fairly smooth and has a nice finish. My only criticism is that one of the holes had a burr in it which prevented the pin from going through during install. A drill bit twisted with my fingers cleared it out. I will probably buy another for my other MKI.
Huge improvement in Ruger Standard
It was a little tricky to keep the spring held back when installing, but it installed smoothly. Now it is much easier to remove magazines. Easy install.. Remove grip panels, push out mag catch pin, reassemble in reverse order.
Perfect for a 1965 Standard.
Perfect fit for my 65 standard. No modification needed. It's actually the same shape as the original release. Works great.
Simple install, great improvement
This mag release is well designed, doesn't get in the way, and works great. An unexpected benefit is you don't have to reposition your finger off the release to let the mag slide out.
What was the other reviewer thinking!?
This product is the best (and only) accessory I use for the Ruger MK II. I have a few and all of them have Ranch Products releases on them. There are two things this does. First, you don't have to push the release back to insert the magazine like you do for the factory one. Second, it's MUCH easier to push to release the magazine. Another reviewer made the assertion that their release didn't work and they just sent it back. Huh, six or seven installations later, I'm going to call that assertion bogus.
