Price doesnt match performance
Ill start with the good. The fit and finish seem superb despite some rough cutting that took place around the retention loop. The holster has an appealing asthetic but unfortunately this is the end of the line for the positives of this holster. This is the worst holster Ive ever tried and certainly the worst at this price point and Ive used a lot! In the name of fairness please Keep in mind my review is specific to the g26/27 models so this holster may be great for a full size gun, youll see why in a moment! To start with my g33 was lose in this holster brand new. Leather holsters loosen over time not get tighter. A g33 is fairly thick so I can imagine how a g26 would be retained in this thing! After being out the cost of expedited shipping I decided to chalk it up and give it a try Anyway and heres where things get worse. Even with a belt around it my gun was still lose in this thing. To make matters worse the ride height and shortness of the holster position this thing to where it a. Digs Imercifully into my hip and that digging causes the butt of the gun to press up and out away from the waist line this causing printing. My owb phantom actually prints less! As much as I hate to eat the 30 bucks in shipping cost I dont see anyway to make this thing work between the printing and the safety of retention issue, so back it goes. If youre a skinnier guy or buying a longer barrel version this holster may be fine but otherwise do yourself a favor and just pass on the subcompact variation of this thing. Especially at this price.
