Drastically improved accuracy
I was consistently getting three bullet holes touching, one an inch or so away and two more an additional two inches from the three shot cluster. This tool has turned my Blackhawk into a 100 yard pistol from a 25 yard gun. I ordered the reamer pilot pack t handle and oil. No other tools required and very easy to do.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
.452 cylinder reamer

44sp/44mag cyl throat reamer
Worked perfect but you pretty much have to purchase the extra pilots, as the included 0.0427 will most likely be too small for most revolvers.
Worked exactly as it should
Checked the throats on several of my .45 revolvers. A couple were tight. This reamer opened them to the proper diameter. Use a good lubricant. Groups have tightened up.
Well made and worked as designed
A couple of minutes with this reamer and Do-drill and my tight Pietta GWII revolver chambers were all at .4525. Smooth as silk and my groups shrunk by half.
Exellent tool
I've got a closet full of Rugers All my 45's especially my BH 45 convertible was fixed with this tool Then user forcing cone reamer on all Both cyls were shooting patterns now shooting nice groups in 45acp & 45colt
Manson .45 Colt cylinder reamer
I purchased a David Manson cylinder reamer and pilot set to open up the throats on my 14 year old Ruger .45 Colt Bisley Vaquero. Before reaming I was getting around 4 - 5" groupings at 30 ft. (not very good). After the cylinder was reamed to .4525" dia. my groups tightened to 1 - 1 1/2" @ 30 ft. Only other item you need to do the job is thread cutting oil and a t-handle wrench for the reamer.
Does what they claim
I just recieved, and used ,the Manson "Throating" reamer today. Haven't got a chance to fire the pistol yet. BUT, concidering I had to pound the .452" bullets through the cylinder with a small brass hammer and punch, I expect it to shoot better than it did last weekend, without the cyl. mouth "sizing". Bullets pass through now with slight pressure exerted on the punch. My 300 gr LBT loads will fully chamber now. Less "swaging" of the bullet should result in better accuracy and definitely safer chamber pressures! A definite improvement in the SAFETY factor! I definitely recommend the product. And don't forget to pick up a T-handle for use with the reamer----#12 to 5/16 size.
Its pretty good
So this is pretty good . My only issue is the bushings are held in place with tiny snap rings than arent the easiest to remove to switch bushings , and you need to remove the bushing after every chamber to properly clean it . Im going to make a tool for this so I can put the cutter in a bag to change the bushing so I dont loose any.
