1911 HEAVY DUTY SLIDE STOP Reviews & Ratings

Heavy duty slide stop is precision machined from steel bar stock, then heat-treated for superb hardness and durability. Ensures a precise fit to frame for secure, consistent lockup; prevents slop or “play” that can compromise accuracy. Available with standard .200" diameter pin or oversized .203" pin for custom fitting to ensure the tightest possible lockup for maximum accuracy. Both sizes available in blued 4140 carbon steel or stainless steel, both with a fine bead-blasted matte finish. Fine-line serrations on pad give your finger secure purchase to release the slide on the first pass.

not good for me

EGW generally has a fine product. The overall detail and machine work on this one was fine. The problem I had was the rear lug that meets the Mag follower was cut very different than from 1911 spec as well as any SS I had on hand to compare it with. Therefore, it would work with some mags (as far as holding the slide back when empty) but definitely would not with other mags (mostly the older style). Measuring the rear lug from the bottom was .2035 long. The others I had were .2065. Not much of a difference, but the contours were definitely different and maybe that's the problem.The shaft was a perfect .200 though!
