Very Displeased

I only had these for a few months and got surface rust on them. Used them one time. I am very displeased and am currently waiting on Cylmer to see if they can get the rest off, but I had to pay for the shipping to them. Very sad that a company making precision equipment would not take care of the customer. If not fixed or sent a new set--I will be switching to Forester or Manson. If a new set or fixed will update the review, but still ridiculous.

Near worthless, bad ejector cutout

These gauges sound great upfront because there is an area near the rim that is cut off or angled so that you supposedly don't have to remove your ejector. This is false, because while there is some material removed, it's not enough at all to bypass the ejector. It still catches on the ejector and it's impossible to seat the gauge against the bolt face with the ejector still in place. So you need to already have the appropriate tools, or have to buy a separate expensive ejector removal tool in order to use these gauges. Extremely disappointing as I bought these due to the specific advertisement that you don't need to remove the ejector because there is this genius cut away on the gauge. But the cut away is not even done properly so it's completely worthless! There is barely any material removed it can't seat with the ejector in place. The ejector MUST be removed. I tried on 7 different BCGs and every one of them the gauge could not seat due to the ejector cutout not being large enough. I removed the extractor, but the gauge still will not seat unless the ejector is completely removed. What a joke! Skip these near worthless gauges!

No-Go out of spec

Ordered the Clymer .223 go/ no-go set for a new AR build. Tried three separate bolts in a Ballistic Advantage .223 barrel. They passed the go gauge but failed the no-go gauge - all the bolts were turning freely. Took the barrel and bolts to a gunsmith and their known good no-go gauges passed and prevented battery. Ordered a set of Forster gauges in .223 and they reflected the same results as the gunsmith's gauges. May just have been the one set, but does not inspire confidence for Clymer gauges.
