Bolt sheared off
When torquing one of the mounting nuts to spec the bolt sheared off. Either the spec is wrong or the bolt was made of weak metal. Pros: Can mount a reflex sight on top of a scope. Cons: Weak metal or incorrect torque specification. Made in China.
Looks good but......
I purchased a 30mm version of this mount for an AR15 for use with a Leupold VX-R. Even though it is made in China I decided to try it out. The mount is well designed and has a good finish and fit. The sight height is great and cantilever put it in a very instinctive position. All of this would be great if the scope mounting bore was parallel to the base. It puts the point of impact 6" low at 18 yards after my elevation is maxed out. I'm almost out of windage also but was able to get the point of impact centered.
