What Reviewers Are Saying
Product Quality
60%
Reviewers generally find the product to be of good quality, noting that it functions well for its intended purpose. However, some buyers express concerns about materials and fit, particularly with screws and hardware not matching traditional A1 specifications, which detracts from the overall quality perception.
Fit and Assembly Challenges
50%
Several reviews highlight challenges with fitting the stock and its components. Reviewers mention needing to adjust or file parts for them to fit correctly, suggesting that assembly may require additional effort beyond what is typical for such kits.
Sling Mount Position
30%
A common complaint is the location of the sling mount, which does not align with traditional A1 stocks, leading to frustration among buyers who expect a more authentic design. This issue seems significant enough that some suggest looking for alternative stock options.
Rattling Issues
40%
A frequent critique is that the butt plate rattles, detracting from the product's overall appeal. Some users have found solutions, like adding shims, but this indicates a quality control issue that many expected to be absent in a $100 product.
Value for Money

Customers feel that the kit offers a good overall value for its price. It comes with necessary components like the extension, spring, and buffer, which many buyers find appealing despite the fitting concerns and occasional quality hiccups.

Really nice A1 stock
There is a legend around A1 stocks - they have the perfect LOP, why would you ever use anything else, and so on. But there are some drawbacks - no storage, some of the clones are considered flimsy (or at least the buttpad is), they crack easily, are discolored or badly molded, and the surplus ones are getting harder to acquire. I used this stock kit (includes the rifle length buffer tube and A1 screw) to replace a collapsible stock on one of my pre-FSA13 lowers. This A1 fixed stock lower will host, at various times, a Brownells BRN-605 upper, a BRN-16A1 upper, a PSA A4 upper, or a Daniel Defense midlength 16" upper with rifle length rail. The stock is black (rather than gray), feels solid, has a storage compartment with the typical polymer buttplate. Some people think you need a button type QD on a stock for functionality - just used a J-hook from a GI sling with a tactical sling - can still detach when needed. It looks great with all of the uppers, although if you care about color matching the BRN uppers, you will not be happy (because they are a mix of the milspec gray and black parts). But I don't care about that at all - it's a very nice stock. The only complaint I have is that the rear takedown pin is now very tight under the spring tension of the fixed stock versus what it was with the collapsible buffer tube. I need something to push it out now, rather than just using finger pressure. Otherwise, love it.
