AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE

AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE Reviews & Ratings

BREEK ARMS AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE

The Breek Arms WARHAMMER MOD2 ambi charging handle is a simple and affordable upgrade that will substantially increase the use of your AR-15. Easily grab on either side of the handle and you can quickly charge your rifle even with large gloves with the textured grooves that are cut into the latch handles. The wide set-back latches work great for large optics. The low profile design keeps it slim and sleek looking without sacrificing functionality. Made entirely out of 7075 aluminum for added strength and durability! The new MOD2 design features improvements for further reducing gas blowback in the shooter's face. The relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem are designed to help direct extra gas out the side and away from your face. And for any gas that does manage to go straight back, we increased the height of the shelf to better cover the back of the upper. These modifications help improve the shooting experience, especially when shooting suppressed!

Update to previous review.
Update to the below review of 1 star. Tried to update it or have it removed, Brownells said they cant and to write another review. So here it is. After writing the first review I had further communication with Breek and after said communication they have provided a solution that took care of the issue and they went above and beyond to compensate for the trouble. Still giving it 4 stars because I did have the issue with unlatching but since Breek did come through with an excellent solution after I had already left the review I figured its only fair I update that they took care of me.

You'll want to wear gloves
First of all, BREEK ARMS is a great small town America business that deserves your patronage. I bought this BREEK ARMS Warhammer charging handle for a new build. I love oversized ambi charging handles. I own a few. What sets the Warhammer apart from other charging handles is how sleek the "wide easy-grab latches" are as well as the their aggressively cut grooves. By aggressive, I mean these grooves are pointy. Great if you only have to use your charging handle occasionally or while wearing gloves. Your hand isn't slipping off.Not so great on a subzero Minnesota winter day, where hands are chapped and your new AR build is having a major low pressure issue. It didn't take too many pulls on the Warhammer before my hand was a bloody mess. As far as self defense, tactical, and cold weather applications this aggressive cut will come in handy. I plan to buy another, just not going to use it the first time I shoot with a new build.

Good parts and good service
Bought the charging handle and 13.7 handguard as a combo. Right off the bat, the barrel nut had faulty/defective threads and wouldn't thread onto my upper. Contacted Breek Arms directly and they responded quickly, the next day they shipped me a new barrel nut along with a return label for the defective one. Mistakes happen, it's disappointing, but they handled it like professionals. The CH seems really nice, I saw some reviews that said it has sharp, snaggy corners but mine seems pretty well de-horned while having good grippy texture and contours. The levers are nice and wide, which is helpful with a longer optic, or one that is rearward-mounted. No issues with fitment or function. The handguard feels stout, with nice thick material to offset the large cutouts. Again, the corners are nicely de-horned and don't feel like a cheese grater, and the anodizing is dark and uniform. The barrel nut is steel, solid without being overly bulky/heavy, and the fitment between the HG and nut is good, without excess slop before tightening the clamps. The clamping system is unusual, but seems solid and keeps the HG from sliding forward off the barrel nut under recoil, although it doesn't have alignment tabs. The forward end is perfectly centered on the barrel. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again. Would have given 5 stars if not for the barrel nut issue.
