AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE

AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE Reviews & Ratings

BREEK ARMS AR-15 WARHAMMER MOD2 AMBIDEXTROUS CHARGING HANDLE

The Breek Arms WARHAMMER MOD2 ambi charging handle is a simple and affordable upgrade that will substantially increase the use of your AR-15. Easily grab on either side of the handle and you can quickly charge your rifle even with large gloves with the textured grooves that are cut into the latch handles. The wide set-back latches work great for large optics. The low profile design keeps it slim and sleek looking without sacrificing functionality. Made entirely out of 7075 aluminum for added strength and durability! The new MOD2 design features improvements for further reducing gas blowback in the shooter's face. The relief cuts on the top and bottom of the stem are designed to help direct extra gas out the side and away from your face. And for any gas that does manage to go straight back, we increased the height of the shelf to better cover the back of the upper. These modifications help improve the shooting experience, especially when shooting suppressed!

Can be hard on the fingers
It works as designed. I am left handed so it was good to have the ambi charging handle. I also bought another brand for another AR. What I noticed was how thin, this was. As well as how sharp this felt on the fingers. I can say now, that I will be replacing this for something a little bigger, and not so hard on the fingers. You might not notice if you use gloves when racking this, but it was the fist thing I noticed. It not something that is going to get better over time.

Not Bad, Not Great
While I wouldn't exactly call this a /great/ charging handle, I would say it's adequate for the price. It seems to function just fine, and feels tough enough to me, though I do prefer my BCM CH. The BCM is a lot more robust, protrudes a lot less, and is easier on the fingers. Plus I think it looks better. I thought this thing looked nice in the images, but once I put it on my gun, it just looks kinda of thin and weak. That brings me to my only /real/ gripes in terms of functionality, and it's that the knurling on the handle is isn't as tall as other CH's, so there's less surface area for your fingers, which leads to the pointy and fairly sharp design to dig more into your fingers, and it's almost, but not quite, painful to charge the gun. It's a minor inconvenience that I could see really only being a problem if you shoot a lot. It also sticks out more horizontally than my BCM and other CH's I've tried, so it stabs me in the chest when using a sling. I could see this also being more of a problem for someone that shoots a lot. Definitely not the /best/ design. I think you'd be better off getting the BCM Gunfighter charging handle for the same price, even if it's not ambi. The ambi one is only $10-15 more, depending on where you go, so even that I would say is a worthwhile price for what is a much better charging handle both in design aesthetic and function.

Satisfactory so far
I may change some of my impressions of this ambi CH after some more use. That being said: I love the price BUT it does have a sharp/painful feel to it barehanded. My other CH's have a much better feel but cost over 2 times what this one does. Only time will attest to durability. For the price I am going to try a few more here soon.
