AR ANTI-WALK PINS

AR ANTI-WALK PINS Reviews & Ratings

The SI Anti-rotation/Anti-walk pin kit adds an extra degree of security to prevent your pins from walking out under fire or harsh use. Toolless installation and disassembly allows for ease of maintenance, with no small screws to back out or become lost. The smooth polished surface allows for a smoother trigger pull with standard trigger groups, and the additional retention is essential for drop in trigger packs. QPQ nitrided high strength steel prevents corrosion and wear providing for a lifetime of use.

I'm A Stickler
Just got these today around 11:00am. Shipping was fast and Brownells service unparalleled. These were nearly the cheapest anti walk\anti roll pins. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. But I hate wasting money too. I read a lot of reviews here and elsewhere. These seemed alright. So it's 7:00pm now. Spent all day sourcing some washers because the length of these pins allows for more play than I care for. Best I found were steel at least. I drilled em for the size of the pins 0.155 ID and test fit. Washers were still way too thick so I made a tool to grind em thinner. Turns out 0.020 was just right. Test fit again and realize the hammer pin washer needs a lil shaved off for clearance by the mag release. Got all set and put everything back together. Nothing binds or is loose. The clip seems very secure. So I went ahead and took everything apart. And I cold blued the washers so they match everything. You be the judge when you look at the pics. The advice of other reviewers came in handy. Take a second and make sure the slots are lined up before you try to snap the clip into place. I used the bottom edge of a plastic right side grip from a Charles Daly 1911 and a pair of needle nose pliers as a hammer to tap the clip and snap it home. I haven't been out to shoot yet. But I don't foresee any issues. This is a good product. But the washers I made, make it better. I'm a stickler that way. I'd buy em again for another budget build. These pins ain't gonna walk or roll. That's why I got em.

Easy Fix
Very easy to install and works great. Do wish they fit a bit tighter, but all in all they are very good pins. Will use them again if needed.

Simple and effective solution
Original spring retention groove design is maintained, offering original slide-out protection but adding the clip function. Rotation is almost 100% eliminated, although the hammer pin still rotates maybe 10 degrees at most. No trigger pin rotation. I like there are no screws to loosen. Attachment seems very firm and secure. I do recommend them to give added slide-out protection to original spring-groove method and significant elimination of rotation. Design improvement would be to have the first slot attached be sprung tight to the pin to eliminate that last few degrees of rotation. Best non-screw method I've seen so far.

Good product
The top pin was a little difficult to install as the tolerance is fairly tight. I had no problem installing the second part. With a little pa8anyone should be able to handle the installation.
