RUGER® PC CARBINE™ TAKEDOWN CHASSIS 9/40 CAL Reviews & Ratings

Designed for use with the new Ruger PC Carbine Takedown model, Midwest Industries developed a special chassis that enhances the durability of the PC Carbine while retaining several of the desirable features of the carbine. The Midwest Industries Ruger PC Carbine Takedown Chassis allows for easy user installation and retains the ability to use the factory iron sights on the gun. The chassis also allows easy access to the changeable magazine well, and the chassis features a six-position stock tube along with a waterproof storage compartment. Without the user-installed stock or grip, the chassis weighs in at a scant 1 pound, 11 ounces. Made entirely in the USA, the Midwest Industries Ruger PC Carbine Takedown Chassis is machined from 6061 aluminum and features a hard-coat anodized finish and two anti-rotation QD sling sockets. All the tools and mounting hardware required for installation are included with the stock.

Overall, good quality
Good solid, quality chassis for the PCC, however I only gave it 4 stars because I'm using the Volquartsen fire control system and price wise the chassis was cheaper than the trigger group, so I fitted the opening in the bottom of the chassis to the trigger housing, including the front of the lug that mounts the pistol grip to provide adequate clearance. Note that the anodizing on the chassis is extremely tough and a grinding bit was needed to get to the bare metal so I could file it to fit. Once fitted, I used aluminum black to restore the black finish. If you're using the factory trigger housing, it should drop right in and the receiver fits nice and snug in the chassis.

Poor QC on finish
This is a sweet chassis Who wouldnt want an alluinum chassis over a factory plastic one Item cane very well packaged I would have given 5 stars but mine had several scuffs and scratches in finish Poor QC , I prob wont worry about it , its usually the first scratch tnats the most painful to see

PC Carbine upgrades
The addition of this with the other supporting pieces make an excellent platform. The weight of the additions would not make a good military weapon but it does make a platform that is versatile and efficient. I dont think it will win any competitions but thats not my purpose.

Almost perfect
I really like the setup, but am having an issue with the mag release little sticky with the Glock insert and factory release button, been planning to update release button, I will update review later. Wish they had FDE as a color option. And maybe a special butt stock with access to the hidden chamber in buffer tube

Pretty good
I would say this product is good I have some complaints, it makes a wiggle which is not as noticeable in the original stock but its still good I havent shot my carbine yet I will tomorrow the instructions arent needed but do not help I would like a video like the other Midwest products sold on here. Also dont be alarmed when you put your stock on or mag release on, it is a little stuff but will get easier after a few times move which ever piece. Other than that its great I will update this review if it sucks when I shoot but if I dont that means it did a great job.
