However, Maglula has a new option that allows rimfire shooters to save their thumbs and get back to the range faster and easier than ever in the form of its 10/22 Magazine Speedloader and Unloader. Designed to work with all Ruger factory 10/22 magazines, including the extended mags like the BX-15 and BX-25, the Maglula Speedloader and Unloader is designed to prevent damage to the thin-walled cases of the .22 LR, as well as avoid marring the tip of the bullet or the case crimp. The pocket-sized loader is intuitive to use and allows for rapid reloading of mags. For owners of other 10/22-style magazines, like those used in the Smith & Wesson T/CR22 or aftermarket Ruger mags like those from Butler Creek, Black Dog, Eagle, Pro Mag, Shooters Ridge and Tactical Inc, the Maglula Speedloader and Unloader will also allow for easy loading.

I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. I did do a test run on it. I will need to get the procedure perfected before I can make the final decision.

Must have for 10/22

The unloader works excellent even though I dont plan on using it much, I give it 5 stars by itself. The loader on the other hand I use very often and it makes loading the mags much easier but not much faster because of the mag lock that is totally unnecessary and makes for extra steps needed to reload. I will probably remove the magazine holder. I give the loader 4 stars. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasnt for the mag lock. The kit with both the loader and unloader is excellent and recommended

Great but seperate and sell

Already owned one and bought two more as I was very pleased with how well the loader worked. I agree with a fellow reviewer that the unloader should be sold separately since I unload my rotary clips through the barrel so as not to have weak mag spring issues. 20 rds. in a 25 rd. clip is always there without fatigue. If you need more at the ready, you need to spend a lot more time at the range.

Would be even greater without the unload

The loader is great, easy to use and simple. The unloaded, thats what I bought the rifle for. Why would I need to unload the mags often enough to need an unloaded? The loader should be sold by itself for a cheaper price to reflect not buying the stupid unloader.
