This blended construction ensures that the sights are strong where needed while avoiding the unnecessary weight of all-steel sights.

So far so good.

Having read through the other reviews I have not had the shearing problems others have had thus far. Just note the rear apature is a split between the typical large and small apature so if that is a deal breaker for you then look elsewhere. Also these are not spring loaded like some other offerings from other manufactures. From my experience thus far which is limited, they do stay in either position you set them in until you move them. They also take up far less rail space than the polymer Magpul sights I had on the rifle before (I do like the Magpul sights, I just wanted to try something new). For what they have to offer and for the price point, I believe these sights are a good value.
