Was expecting more.
We purchased this barrel for a suppressed SBR. We were trying to keep the weight down so we went this slim profile barrel after hearing what great quality they were. We tried a dozen different types of ammo from 55gr surplus fodder to Black Hills 77gr OTM. Nothing we tried shoots what I would consider acceptable groups. 2-3" at 36 yards was about the best any of them would do. Even switched from an Odin Works can to an OSS Helix and nothing changed. Very disappointing. Going to request a return on this.
Overgassed
I like the barrel profile. Its reasonably accurate. I don't like the fact that it ejects at 1 o'clock shooting XM193. It shoots around 2 o'clock with lower powered ammo and an H3 buffer. I don't want to put a $100 gas block on a $150 barrel to make it work. I'm pretty disappointed. I've got a few Faxon parts, and I like them, but they really dropped the ball on this barrel. They should state that this barrel is for 3 Gun. It is purposefully overgassed so you can use an adjustable gas block, lightweight BCG, etc. to tune the rifle to run a super light load with low moving mass.
