IMPACT SPORT ELECTRONIC EARMUFFS Reviews & Ratings

HOWARD LEIGHT IMPACT SPORT ELECTRONIC EARMUFFS

The Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Earmuffs offer compact, lightweight electronic hearing protection allowing you to hear conversations and range commands, while blocking out dangerous noises like gunfire. Internal ultra-fast response electronics amplify ambient sounds to a safe 82 decibels (dB), yet shut down when sounds above 82 dB are detected to let the muff’s passive hearing protection take over. When the earmuffs are in amplification mode, directionally placed stereo microphones even help you hear where the sound is coming from. Built-in AUX input accepts 1/8" (3mm) stereo plug (patch cable included) to connect an MP3 player, radio, or other audio. The Impact Sport Electronic Earmuffs feature an automatically shut-off that activates after 4 hours to preserve battery life. Bottom half of the low-profile ear cups angles in sharply to ensure plenty of clearance when shouldering long guns. Cups fold up neatly into the adjustable head band for convenient storage.

Great for the price

I bought a pair of these and have used them for about a year. Really good value. They work well.

Jim Dandy hearing protectors

Outstanding value for the money. Wore them for about five hours at the range and were very comfortable, good adjustment to the headband, not heavy, had very good volume control and they worked as advertised. way to go Brownell's

Good value

I've been using a set now for 7 years and like them very much and have never had a problem with them. I decided to get another pair for wearing when I go out into the manufacturing areas where I work. The batteries hold up well on my first pair, and they perform just fine (I wear hearing aids while using), and I find them to be very comfortable, unlike some of the other reviews.

Very Good Hearing Protection

Purchased 18 pairs for our agency range....shooters were pleased with the protection and could hear all range commands without any problems.

Good Product and Affordable

This is a very good electronic earmuff. Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably on any head size. The ear muffs can amplify the sounds around you but shut down sounds that can hurt your ear. Price very affordable. Durable and just bought another one for back up. A great product.

Reasonable value

I have 3 sets of these for student use, after 2 years of abuse, 1 set failed. in my opinion, a reasonable value. I just ordered a replacement for the failed set.

4 stars at the price

Great for the price, 4 stars. 3 stars compared to the better units. Not enough ear padding, comfortable enough when first put on but start to become uncomfortable after about 45 minutes, for me. This could be an individual thing. A couple different sets of more expensive muffs that I have tried were more comfortable (atleast short term) with more attenuation. However these are probably impossible to beat for the price. Seems like every 2nd shooter at the range owns a set. Problem free for over 3 years of ownership. Should have bought a set sooner. I dont find that I need anything better or more expensive.

These are great.

they fit nice and are light weight.

Impact great

I use the IMPACT SPORT ELECTRONIC EARMUFF everyday on the shooting range. I am a firearms instructor and this product is great for hearing students on the line. I can even here conversations and new people arriving at the rang 100 yards away. The also fit under the MICH and ACH kevlar helmets. I have had the same set since late 2008 to early 2009 and have had no problems at all! I would put these head sets up against any $250 pair any day.

BEST LOW BANG FOR THE BUCK

I always wear plugs with muffs in my forty years of woodworking and shooting. This way I can hear range commands and protect my hearing. Worked at an indoor police range for four months with them on seven hours a day. I still have the original batteries in them.
