Great Quality but did not fit
I recently purchased this replacement butt plate for my Model 99 308 Savage. The quality is excellent and it looks great but it did not fit at all. It is much smaller than the original one I was replacing. The screw holes lined up perfectly with the holes in the stock of the gun but the plate was not nearly as wide or long as the stock. Therefore it offers no protection to the end grain of the wood on the edges. For this reason I cant give this product a good review, maybe some of their other products for other models fit fine but this one was not good.
