Inconsistent fit.
I have used these before but these in my recent 3 pack order are too big. They dont fit. Still trying to find a way to sand/trim/taper to get them to fit. They are going into a stock 10/22 receiver from which a previous buffer was just tapped out. And, a new Brownells 10/22 receiver. Once in, my experience is they do the trick, but obviously need some additional quality control for consistent sizing.

Painful install
It is a BEAR to get installed. Once in there, it works great...until you have to clean your 10/22. I managed to get it back in a second time, but what a PITA! In all fairness, it might have helped to bevel the ends before installation. They probably should come that way. I think I'll just make my own moving forward.
