AR-15 KX3 FLASH SUPPRESSOR 22 CALIBER

AR-15 KX3 FLASH SUPPRESSOR 22 CALIBER Reviews & Ratings

Unique design redirects concussion forward to provide better flash suppression than standard A2 suppressor on short-barreled AR-15/M16/M4 rifles and other centerfire gas-operated weapons. Virtually eliminates side blast to protect nearby personnel during CQB, building entries, and when shooting from inside vehicles. Lessens felt recoil and reduces muzzle rise to help keep sights on the target for fast follow up shots and superior recoil management on full-auto assault rifles, especially with barrels 13" or shorter. High-carbon steel with matte black manganese phosphate finish stands up to the heat and pressure of thousands of rounds. Convenient, ¾" wrench flats allow easy installation with the same wrench used to remove factory flash suppressor. Crush washer included. Each unit individually serial numbered for quality control.

SPECS: Heat-treated steel, phosphate finish, matte black. 3 1/4" O.A.L. 1 3/8" diameter. 6.7 oz weught. 5.56 model fits rifles in 5.56mm/.223 with 1/2"-28 tpi muzzle threads.

The Flaming Pig WORKS!
I installed my KX3 on a Rock River PDS pistol. The pistol came to me with an A2 birdcage, which dissipated flash nicely, but was loud and did nothing for recoil or muzzle flip (which isn't much, anyway). I first installed a Levang linear comp, which directed sound and blast downrange and reduced recoil a bit, but was flashier. I finally sprang for the Noveske, and I'm glad I did. It is big and heavy (that's why four stars, instead of five) but MUCH quieter from the shooter's position, and what little flash there is starts about 2 feet in front of the muzzle. I shot it without ear protection, with 62gr. OTM Federal FBI overrun, and my ears didn't even ring. Loud downrange, though, which is why it gets to be a flash suppressor, and not a can.

Great for Night Hunting
The last reviewer seemed believe it is useless on anything that is not an SBR. This is incorrect. I have tried 5 different flash suppressors on my M4 with minimal difference in the size of the fireball. I always have problems with my scope This worked perfectly with my co-witnessed night vision scope shooting nuisance armadillos. It really holds down the flash at night if you need to make a follow-up shot... which I never do. :-)

In your review, you stated "It was quieter too" That is an absolute falsehood. If a muzzle device quiets the report of a firearm by even one half of one percent of a decibel, it is classified by the ATF as a silencer. This product is not a silencer and is not marketed as such by Brownells. It is nothing more than a flash suppressor.
