WAY too tight for my .22 rifle
The thickness of this pellet adapter is too large. It expands the cleaning pellets to such an extent that it feels like it's going to damage the chamber and bore of my Bergara B14R. The force required to simply get the pellets on this adapter into the bore is so great that the cleaning rod flexes. Once pushed out the end of the muzzle, trying to pull them back through causes them to fly off the end because they're just way too tight in the bore.
Adapter tears up pellets
Bought the adapter twice thinking I made a mistake the first time and ordered the .270 + adapter. Second one was exactly same as first and said 8-32 .22 cal right on package. I’m using this in a 6.5 Creedmoor. Pellet end of adapter is way to large for the pellets. It is almost impossible to thread them on without tearing them up. If you do get them on, they expand so much they won’t go down the barrel. Use Pro Shot adapter, they work perfectly. However, don’t think they make a 3 pellet adapter.
Too big!
I was excited to try this. However, I found that it is too large for both my .22 and my 6.5 Grendel with the VFG felt pads. And gettin it unstuck is a problem with a compensator on the end of the barrel! When I compare it to my .30 Caliber Adapter, it appears to be identical!
.22 cal. 8-32 VFG-3p adapter is junk
Compare the size of the shaft for the 3 felt pellets on the Dewey cleaning rod version to the size of the shaft for 3 pellets on the adapter with the 8-32 threaded end. The adapter with the the 8-32 threaded end is so fat that the felt pellets with not fit in any .22 caliber bore. I asked the Tech at Brownells to verify the problem and the reply was try another. The Brownells plastic bag was designated with all the correct info, the problem is the adapter with the 8-32 threaded end just won't work. I had also ordered the corresponding .22 caliber felt plugs.
