RIFLE ACTION WRENCH & HEAD FOR M14/M1A/M1 GARAND Reviews & Ratings

BROWNELLS RIFLE ACTION WRENCH & HEAD FOR M14/M1A/M1 GARAND

The Brownells Rifle Action Wrench & Head for M14/M1A/M1 Garand is a professional-grade action wrench system engineered to provide superior receiver support during barrel installation, barrel removal, and advanced gunsmithing procedures. Designed specifically for the M14, M1A, and M1 Garand platform, this system surrounds and supports the receiver ring to distribute torque forces more evenly and help prevent costly receiver damage during high-torque operations.

As part of the Brownells Action Wrench System, the precision-machined action head fits closely around the receiver to dramatically increase surface contact area compared to conventional action-holding methods. By supporting the receiver in a ring of steel, the system helps reduce the potential for twisted receivers, damaged locking surfaces, and other issues that can occur during barrel work.

The dedicated head design supports the top, sides, and bottom of the receiver's forward ring, providing enhanced stability and control during installation and removal procedures. The system is compatible with most M14-, M1A-, and M1 Garand-pattern rifles, including BM-59 variants.

poor fit for M1a
Nothing great about a wrench with a bad fit. The top of the wrench is cut too shallow for a good grip and the curve has numerous irregularities. This is partially why the directions tell you to use brass shims! (not revealed in the addvertisement) I just hope that I didn't twist my action! Look elsewhere!
