Simply insert the hooked end of the tool into the mag well, position handles over delta ring, and push down to compress the delta ring spring. Made of strong ¼" (6.4mm) steel rod, with synthetic rubber coating to protect gun from surface scratches.

Not all it's cracked up to be

After removing the handguard on only one rifle, the coating is broken through at the contact points with the delta ring. Even before this, the coating is not bonded to the wrench underneath and rotates around, losing much of the extra leverage it could otherwise be providing. I will probably improve mine by removing the existing coating and replacing with an industrial, hot-glued heat shrink insulation.
