WML WHITE/IR GEN 2 ULTRA COMPACT WEAPON LIGHT Reviews & Ratings
Simple, effective WML solution
I needed a WML light source for my Mossberg 590 HD shotgun and did not want an expensive fore end option. The shape, layout and rear button of the InForce were a better 'fit' to place right side up where I could use my firing hand for control than on competitor models. Using an offset EGW rail, the activation switch sits just above the safety where my thumb can operate both easily. The light is OK, but not up to the 300 lumen level of my outdoor weapon lights...but still, more than good enough for inside a home. Mounting is so nice and quick as well as detaching and remounting. The feature switching is easy to learn and maybe better under stress than other designs to operate. I would upgrade it to a 300 lumen rating if that was made available though, as I have that on other weapons. Overall, very satisfactory. The only drawback is my rail placement sits right over the safety. Not so easy to engage it, although going 'OFF' safety is readily accessible. But then, in an HD scenario I only want to go 'OFF', so it's not an issue.
AMAZING Light with a GREAT design!!!
I had looked at MANY weapon mounted lights. I am NOT a fan of lights with pressure pads where you have wires hanging on your weapon! When I first saw the Inforce Weapon Light I was intrigued by its design and it seemed like it would allow great flexibility in its use, so I decided to get one and see how it was. When it arrived, I could tell right away that it was solidly built. It is compact and has several VERY unique or at least innovative features. The patent pending mounting system is ingenious and locks the light to the weapon very securely, while being easy and tooless to remove when needed. The multi-function button works great and I like the option it allows of either "momentary" or "constant" activation, since there may be a need for both depending on the situation. I like the fact that it has two different intensity settings for the light, which in its high setting is VERY bright as well as its strobing setting, which would definitely be disorienting to an adversary in a darkened environment. I LOVE the fact that at the flick of a switch, I have Infrared light with no need of filters to have to carry or have to fiddle with! The design, as I have stated, is amazing! It is absolutely ergonomic and fits my MAKO 416 (M4) like a glove! The activation button is perfectly situated and has a simple but effective lock out device so it can't be inadvertently activated. Its MSRP price would be VERY reasonable for this light, but I was able to get mine for considerably less from Brownells, which is a friggin' STEAL!!! I recommend this light to any Operator and also to those who would mount it on a home defense weapon, since it would be highly effective in that role. My highest recommendation and congratulations to Inforce for designing such a wonderful product!
