I have used this powder for reloading several years now. I have used it with a great success on 9 mm, 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 45 ACP, and 45 Colt. It has worked well on all of these. Would not hesitate to try it on other calibers as well. Burns clean, very consistent metering, it's a great powder.

Winchester 244 powder
Have used 244 in .45 colt for almost 2 years. Easily to meter and shoots as well as this old guy can shoot. Been using it with a couple uberti smokewagon revolvers. Very satisfied with it. A little goes a long way. 6.3 grains under a 255 lead semiwadcutter ia good load. Not too hot , but not overly mild. Enjoyable to shoot.

Pistol loading
I have been loading all my pistol bullets with this powder for about two years. It does the job and is clean. It is not in all loading manuals. Go to the Hodgdon load data site to get it. Also the Lee reloading manual.

Have been using 244 in 9mm, 38, and 45 with good results. Low smoke which is good for the indoor rage. No hazmat change made the price acceptable.

I bought it in case i decided to start loading so.e pistol rounds. I've not used it yet but I gave it 5 stars because Hodgdon makes it. Hodgdon makes powder under numerous brand names. I currently own about 45 or 50 of those brands between my shotgun and rifle powders. I haven't come across a powder they make that doesn't go boom when i squeeze the trigger. Thats good enough for me.
New powder
New powder decided to try it for Sp clays load loaded out at 12:55. I have chron but shot it on very impressed with the powder the pulse the brakes will continue to experiment with 1 ounce and crono soon.
Great Replacement Powder For Unique Or Universal
I use W244 for any application that I want Unique or Universal performance for with the convenience of a ball type powder. It burns cleaner than either of the other two when using less than full a strength measure.
