WEAPONS CARE SYSTEM PELLETS

WEAPONS CARE SYSTEM PELLETS Reviews & Ratings

Innovative and efficient system cleans rifle and handgun barrels with a minimum of effort and mess. Slip two felt pellets on the cleaning rod adapter, apply your favorite solvent and push through the bore to rapidly scrub out dirt and fouling. Pellets fit snugly to easily follow the rifling for fast, efficient cleaning; as you withdraw the rod, the front pellet falls off while the rear pellet polishes the bore. Lets you apply oil, cleaning solvents, J-B® Bore Cleaner or Moly Bore Paste easily with minimal mess.

Plain pellets are made from a highly absorbent, hardened felt

Super Intensive pellets also have interwoven brass fibers for even greater scrubbing action to quickly clean heavily fouled barrels. All require cleaning rod adapter. SPECS: Felt, white. 3/8' (9.5mm) long.

Bore cleaning made easy
Works very well with Kroil and J-B Bore paste to clean stubborn bore deposits. Now part of my lever and bolt gun maintenance routines.

Vfg pellets
Used them to restore the bore on old military rifle. They work great, much better than patches. You can adjust the tightness in the bore by how much you tighten on the adapter. You must also have a 2 or 3 pellet adapter.

Copper fouling removed!
Used these in .30 for a 308 that had hard to remove copper fouling. Even after using wipeout and accelerator I still had traces of copper fouling. These cleaning pellets along with the brownell 3 plug jag with j-b bore cleaning compound and kroil oil provided great results. My barrel is clean and polished in half the time and with less mess. I ran a bore scope (endo scope) before and after the process and was amazed. The pellets required a little effort to thread onto the 3 plug jag and the jag only allowed 2 to fit on. Apply kroil to the pellets on the jag and rub in j-b on to the oiled pellets and work the pellets the entire length of the bore (be sure to use a bore guide) as instructed in brownells video. The pellets did not come off during the process as some have reported. Fairly tight fit with the jag. Probably ran the jag 50 to 60 strokes then cleaned the barrel with patches and light oil and finished with a bore snake.

I have used these in 6mm, 6.5mm, 7mm ( for both 7mm and 270) and 7.5mm for 30 cal. They are fantastic when used as shown in the video. You will be suprised how clean your barrel will be. Great product.

VFG Pellets
I have used VFG Pellets in several caliber sizes and types for many years. I have always ordered these from Brownell's, but sometimes they are not in stock and you have to wait for them to come from Germany. Order extras when you can. These pellets come in very handy for cleaning all types of firearms. I normally use a nylon brush for my first few passes thru a barrel to get the big stuff out. Then I take a proper size VFG Intensive pellet wet with Real Avid Bore Cleaner and wet the barrel well with a few passes. I allow the barrel to sit and soak for 15 to 30 mins and run a very tight fitting O-ring jag with a patch on it thru the barrel and in most cases all of the carbon and copper residue comes out easy-peezy. I normally check my barrels and chambers with a bore scope and if all looks well I run a solvent moistened patch thru the barrel and follow that up with a VFG comfort patch with good quality oil on it. For really tough jobs I use VFG Intensive pellets with JB bore cleaner or TCS bore cleaner paste and the job gets done and done well. Just remember to clean off the paste residue and oil the barrel. The VFG pellets come in sizes for shotguns and with the right cleaner on them they remove ALL the fouling from a shotgun barrel including plastic wad residue. I simply can't imagine not having the VFG pellets for cleaning duties. These VFG pellets coupled with TCS O-ring jags and patches really cut down on cleaning time and make the jobs much faster. Try them with the Real Avid Bore Cleaner and I don't think you will be disappointed. Rick H.

Good for 22's
These are great but my bag came ripped. Didnt seem like a full bag as it was taped together. Cleans the guns great! Didnt last me long though. I use 5 every time I clean my gun. I put a little CLP or Marvel Mystery oil on the first one and let it sit 5 minutes. The next plug comes out nasty black. Three more and very little coloration if any at all.
