Correct part and it works.
Was out shooting my Ruger Mk111, the fork broke on the return spring making the firearm unusable; ordered part, installed new part, easy installation and now the firearm is back to functional use.

22/45 all fixed!
After 20+ years and over 8,000 rounds, my Ruger 22/45 started to fail to return to battery. Maybe it needs a new recoil spring assembly? I replaced the original spring assembly with this Volquartsen unit and my pistol is back to shooting like new!
Works great
Worked great with the old Ruger .22 Automatic.
Great product
Shipped on time, good price , easy to install
just what I needed!
This is an exact replacement for part for the gun, with a bonus of 2 extra springs for those who want or need to modify their gun.
22/45 recoil spring
The heavy spring worked great with the 1435 fps 22lr ammo I've been shooting. It seemed to control the bolt recoil very well and made the recoil impulse feel very consistent. If I use a less powerful ammo I have two lighter springs to tailor the recoil. Great product.
Works Great
I acquired a well used Mark II Target a while back. Disassembly and inspection revealed the recoil spring assembly looked (at least to me) to have reached the end of its life expectancy. I scoured my usual internet vendors and also the ShopRuger web store but could not find a factory replacement available. I suppose I could have called to see if Ruger would send the item to me, but I discovered these and I like the Volquartsen brand. To cut things short, it dropped in with no issue and works fine. I have since bought several more because I like the option of using a stronger spring for ammunition like Velocitor or a weaker spring for the Quiet Semi-Auto.
It works like a champ
I inherited an old model Mark that my Dad bought back in the 1960s and was the first handgun I ever fired. It's had thousands of rounds through it. The guide rod had one ear broken off and the gun had become unreliable. I couldn't find a replacement for years and gave up until I found this one at Brownell's. It took longer to put the pistol back together than it did to install the part on the bolt. I took it to my pasture and burned 2 magazines through it and it shot like it was brand new, Thanks Brownell's for giving me back a piece of my childhood days.
Better than the original. Cured problem.
I discovered that the original firing ping had worn down and was barely striking the rim. Also 1 side of the recoil spring retainer clip at the rear of the action was broken off. It was only firing about 2-3 rounds per 10 round mag. Found the problem with a bore scope. After replacing the firing ping, and recoil spring assembly, it now fires 100% of the time. Loving my Mach III again. Quick turn around and the parts fit perfectly. The Recoil spring assembly also came with a lighter and stronger spring, If it didn't work correctly, and the design had a screw on the end for easy spring replacement. Better that the original. Also quick turn around time. Thanks.
Fits Fine
I got this for a 30+ year old Mark II Target I picked up at a gun show that had a worn down recoil spring. I cant speak to the fit issues reported by previous purchasers. My part dropped in with no problems whatsoever and works fine. The bolt does not stick at any point in its travel.
