Works well but…

I bought this in .30 cal for my .308. BROWNELLS didn’t have the pellets in stock so I used some Tipton pellets I got locally. The VFG jag has a blunt tip and made threading on the Tipton pellets almost impossible. I don’t know about the VFG pellets, but the Tipton pellets had a tiny hole. I ended up taking the jag to my grinder and gave it a spear point. The Tipton pellets threaded on but because on the tight fit, they stretched as I threaded them on. To resolve this, I ground off the threads towards the base. This allowed me to seat the two Tipton pellets loosely, with the third one secured by the threads. I could compress the bottom two with pressure from the third. Hopefully this isn’t a problem with the VFG pellets, but I won’t know until they are back in stock.

Poorly shaped

The adapter works fine, but only after struggling to get the pellets onto it. The blunt tip of the adapter should have been tapered so it would be easier to thread the pellets onto it without splitting them. It became easier after I tapered the tip on a grinder. This was an easy fix, but the manufacturer should have done it. Pros- Quality materials Cons- Poor design

Works fine, but difficult to get the pads started down the shaft. Takes a little work and practice. Once I figured out how to do it, it was no problem.
