The best .17 round
I bought my Savage #93 back in 2002. I tried several rounds from different manufacturers. Some claimed to make their own ammo, but were using Hornady .17 gr. bullets. I've had other makers ammo cases bust in half when extracting. Some swelked up and got stuck in the chamber. Not the Hornady round. I've fired over 10,000 rounds through my rifle between hunting and target shooting, and never had a failure. My favorite varmint to hunt is Ground Hogs. My seven acres is surrounded by over 1,000 acres of farmland that the owners give me full access to. I've taken out hundreds of Ground Hogs with just one round out to 150 yards. I've had many liberally explode when hit at 50 yards broadside. Most of my kills are head shots. Ground Hogs are my main Varmint hunted. But ive also taken out many skunks, racoons, and three Coyotes. One at 100 yards. Ons broadside shot. It did run about 20 yards before it dropped. The other two were at around 75 yards, and dropped right where they were hit. The Hornady ammo, once sighted in stays very consistant. My first scope maintained a perfect zero for over 15 years. The BSA Sweet-17 2x7 power scope was awesome. I wouldn't recommend any other .17 ammo than Hornadt.

Good Ammo
Very accurate ammo out of my Savage 93 rifle. I've used this ammo on woodchucks out to 200 yards, starlings, a few foxes at less than 75 yards and a coyote at close to 25 yards. I've only had to shoot a few woodchucks twice, otherwise this stuff stops them in their tracks. This stuff is also fur friendly on close range foxes.
