PRODUCT FEATURES

POLYMER TIP
The secret to the explosive terminal performance of the V-Max® is a hollow cavity resting between the tip's shaft and the body of the bullet. Upon impact, the hard shaft builds up speed and energy before driving into the core, causing the entire package to rapidly expand to the point of violent fragmentation, even at low terminal velocities.

HIGHER BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT
Hornady® combines the sharp, pointed polymer tip with the most aerodynamic profile for a high ballistic coefficient. The V-MAX® profile also provides the maximum bearing surface for added in-flight stability.

SWAGED LEAD CORE
The swaging process allows precise formation of the core up and around the tip, with a cavity under the tip's stem. This allows the tip to build up energy before smashing into the core, causing dramatic fragmentation of the core and jacket.

PRECISE BOATTAIL & FLATBASE DESIGNS
Utilizing the proper base design provides incredible in-flight stability for long-range shooting.

good coyote round

loads very easy, super accurate, good price and fast service.

Excellent Target Bullet

I have always used these bullets, 45 years. Extremely accurate. Recent qualifying target was good. You only get three shots.

Excellent 243 bullet

Again, this is the best highest BC for 243. I shoot it for target practice (steel). I do not hunt Varmint, however, I am certain it would do its job very well. I can take my 243 with this bullet to 800yards easily

Accurate and great on p dogs

The latest Lots seem to be more consistently accurate. Ive had earlier lots that were not as accurate I have used these in 6 x 47 Lapua and 6 mm GT with IMR 4350. I Shoot just off of jam and that seems to work well. Im getting 4/10 of an inch groups at 300 yards and Im obviously pretty happy about that. Custom rifles and very high power scopes I agree with the other reviewer. They have the best PC of any bullet made directly for varmints They shred prairie dogs

Accurate Bullet

Using them in my .243 AI for fire forming and prairie dog hunting. It is very accurate and not finicky about OAL in my rifle.

Terminator

This bullet in a friend's 6mm-06 wildcat did things to a prairie dog that can't be written... suffice it say that the gun's name is 'Vix', as in vaporizer. This 58g bullet will work in about anything from a 1:14 twist down to 1:8 twist and the results have always be awesome.

Love 87gr V-MAX for the 243 win

Been loading Fed 210 large rifle primer, 36.7gns of Reloader 15 and 87gn V-MAX for the 243 win. The mate and I both use this load and we are knocking over wild pigs in the Australian Outback with devestating stop dead in their track results.

Great Bullet for the 243 Winchester

I've been using this bullet with 38 grains of Varget in my 243 Winchester. Seat the bullet .010" off the lands and you will see 1/2" groups or better at 100 meters.
