Great priming
Changed from the older shell holder version. This product is so much easier to work on multiple size cases all at one sitting with out the time consuming process of changing shell holders.

RCBS hand primer
Super easy to use and setup
Best Hand Primer I Have Used For Years!
Buy two and extra trays. Lifetime warranty by RCBS. one for small primers and one for large primers
Don't waste $ on any other hand primer
Hands down the best. Very consistent and made from quality materials. The only thing that takes time is switching from small to large primers which takes tools. With that said, I still rate it 5 stars.
RCBS hand priming tool
use to load mostly hand gun and some rifle cartridges. easy to use and nice not needing to change shell plate. now have 2 that way no need to change size from small to large primer size. I use the old style primer holder ( octagon shape) from my 2 original RCBS priming tools. just prefer those because making the tool better balanced. nothing wrong with the new ones though. only thing that is slightly negative would be the original ones had a stronger sliding gate. this one will bend easier and original were made in AMERICA. the casting was slightly better. all in all great product and excellent customer service RCBS). buy it and you will not be disappointed.
RCBS Universal Primer.
I used to use the primer on my Forster co-ax press but it would damage the rims on the base of the cartridge causing measurements to be off. After numerous unsuccessful attempts @ adjusting the Forster I chose the RCBS primer. This has been a very pleasant surprise. I just loaded 50 cartridges in about 5 minutes after initial set up and couldn't be happier. All primers were uniform in depth and seating in my used 6BR Lapua brass. The pull was smooth and consistent and did not fatigue my wrist. The universal jaws fit the brass securely and did not damage the edges. This performed far better than my co-ax press primer.
Great Product
I'm just getting into hand loading, and I've acquired equipment for a single-stage press. I bought the RCBS Universal Hand Priming Tool to handle priming, and I couldn't be happier. This product is easy to use. It installs primers quickly, easily, and correctly. This is a great product.
Wow!
Expensive for a priming tool, but absolutely top notch as a hand primer. It's comfortable, easy to load primers, comfortable, easy to load the brass, comfortable, and smooooooth. It's also super comfortable! To be perfectly honest, I'd recommend the RCBS bench primer overall, but it's probably not fair to compare a bench primer to a handheld, so this still gets an easy five stars.
A BIG time saver for reloaders
If you do any sort of reloading with a hand or turret press, I would highly recommend this tool for your priming to save you time. As the name suggests, it fits right in your hand and does not make a mess, so there is no reason why you could not use this indoors in front of the television. I can easily prime at least 1000 cartridges in less than an hour while watching a movie or show. All it takes is a squeeze of your fingers and your cartridge is primed. Best of all, you can feel what is going on so if there is any resistance, you know to stop before something can go wrong. This priming tool comes with the proper pieces to use both small and large sized primers and it only takes a couple seconds to switch between. My only two complaints about this particular tool is it is kind of pricy compared to other priming tools like the Lee one. However I have never tried the Lee priming tool so I have no basis of comparison on whether this is any better or worse. The only thing keeping this from being a perfect 5/5 is the cost. My other complaint is the sliding door on the primer holder is very loose so sometimes it will shut on you while you are priming. Not a deal breaker, but it can get annoying sometimes. I remedied this by taping it open when using it. The benefit of this universal hand priming tool and the regular RCBS hand priming tool is this does not require any shell holders (hence, "universal"). So if you reload more than 2 or 3 different calibers, this will already save you some money over the other one since you do not need to get extra shell holders. Plus this comes with the square primer holder as opposed to the circle holder the other one comes with, which makes it easier to load primers from their boxes (I cannot think of any primers that come in round cases). I would highly recommend a dedicated hand priming tool as a time saver, even if not this one.
Not Good
The gate/primer shield was made from flimsy sheet metal that bent and distorted when changing primer sizes, when seating primers the primers were being badly deformed from a too small/off center seating punch. I sent it back to Brownells.
