Perfect tool for a home shop
I have often wondered just how much pull weight was needed for triggering a few of my firearms, as well as wondering how repeatable those weights were. I’ve not had opportunity yet to test repeatability, but it has been illuminating to find how HIGH the pull weight is for some of my stock firearms! This tool has let me see how much improvement I can expect from a certain amount of cleanup effort expended at my bench. Fingers are crossed! I am also redirected to the importance of the dry-fire practice my instructors often bear down on.
Easy, effective, low cost
I used the Wheeler Engineering Trigger Scale after installing an aftermarket Remington 700 trigger. The scale gave me an immediate sense of how sensitive the pull was and provided repeatable readings more than enough accurate for 99% of the shooting population. It's cost effective and simple in design. Wish I had bought one years ago....

Simple and easy to use
Used on all my firearms, is accurate enough to see where your adjustments are going. Simple tool less to malfunction. Dont have to feed it batteries. Wont have leaking batteries ruining your tool. Did not need all the bells and whistles simple and great for occasional use.

This scale is easy to use. It takes the guess work out of your trigger work. You can use it om most hand guns and other guns up to 8 lbs

Excellent Tool
I should have purchased this years ago! I do 99.9% of the trigger work in my handguns. In hindsight, this is an essential tool and it should have been on my workbench from Day One. PROS: Affordable, accurate; repeatable results; no electronics or batteries are needed (a very good thing); robust; simple to use; the Perfect solution to my requirement. CONS: 8-lbf maximum test load "Limit". This is a very minor and acceptable constraint. Mechanical and Material Properties (ie Physics) mandate this limit/trade-off in order too achieve the PROS above (NOTE: affordable). You may want to stop reading at this point. What follows are semi-relevant personal opinions and preferences. Decades ago, during my Navy career, I learned an important TRUTH: "Better is the Enemy of Good Enough!" (This slogan was embraced and enforced by the USSR's Senior Fleet Admiral during the Cold War.) "Better", more accurate analogue and digital scales are in the marketplace. Their designs are more complex (more parts, electronics, power requirements, etc). Their PROS include greater accuracy and functionality. CONS include higher prices, complexity, environmental constraints, susceptibility to damage, etc. I couldn't justify paying 5x to 30x more for unnecessary features. The demands of a high-end custom builder, Performance Center, Ballistics Lab, Competition Armory, etc might require UBER-accuracy/functiond that justifiy cost. I am a "Toolie", so I would LOVE to have the Very Best Tools ... even if they only get used once or twice a decade. But, like most folks, I deal with Realities. I like to shoot and occasionally buy a gun. I budget accordingly.
