Reliable Weaver base
I needed a base for a Winchester M100, which has been out of production for decades. Of course, Weaver still makes a base for this rifle. Also, Brownell's still carries nearly all the Weaver product line. Once the required base was identified, ordering was simple. A few days later, I had my base, which fit perfectly.
Worked as intended
This is a mount to be used to change a flat topped rifle into one with a rail. Simple, nothing to it, worked as intended.
Simple but critical item
Normally I wouldn't bother to review this, but let me explain: - I had to fit the contour of a 1917 sporter - it was already drilled and the bases lost - i wanted them ASAP All needs satisfied by Brownells! Thank you... The description provided for this series of bases allowed me to correctly pick the right ones...they arrived in the mail, in CA, w/in 4 days...super service...thanks again.

This is what you want for your Ruger
This is the correct base for the Ruger American Rimfire. They come with screws but make sure you order two bases. Only one per package.
Best all-around base to have in shop
I use these for any and all flat top rifles, pistols, black powder rifles, and shotguns except AR's. Can be cut and grooved for any flat application. Great for mounting so many different accessories, etc.

The base was purchased for a customer.
OK for some rings, but not all rings.
I bought this base to go under a Burris Signature Zee ring. The ring would not slide over the base because the base was too wide by a few thousandths of an inch. The rings would fit over the Weaver front base I bought, but not the rear base. I am sure the base would be fine had I bought a different style of ring. I had no idea this base would not be compatible with a Burris Zee ring.
