Glad to have found this GI retro-M-16 care and use pamphlet!
This M-16 pamphlet is as hysterical and it is chocked with valuable information for the infantryman. Imagine approaching our current pentagon brass with the concept of this pamphlet in today’s world. I should have bought a box full as items like this will be harder and harder to find in the coming years. God Bless the Baby Boomers! Thank you Brownell’s for keeping a little retro-history available for us children of the 50’s and 60’s.

Good one
I tried to get this manual from Amazon but they sell some terrible copy. It was twice the size of the original. But from Brownells it came in the right size and it looks just amazing.

Nostalgic
Neat and nostalgic reference literature. The crowd that thinks AR type firearms are the devils device I am sure would take offense to this literature because of its non politically correct nature in todays snow flake world. But for the time when it was published and the intended audience I have no doubt it served well and got the information across with some humor. A nice piece to go along with the Proto model rifle I purchased.

First read this in 69.
This was the first pocket manual on taking care of the M-16. Some of the issues presented were to correct mistakes and rumors about the weapon. While dedicated to a hot environment, it all still applies except for the use of LSA. By using this little book I never had any failures with the little black rifle.. It even mostly applied to the XM series. I seem to recall the soldiers in OD the first time I saw it. Matter of fact I may not have carried it if there was orange on the cover. If the AR's interest you get a copy. It is inexpensive for what it is. I carried one in my pocket everywhere I went 50yrs ago.

Almost Perfect
This is a great reproduction of an historic comic. But it is not perfect. My complaint is that stapling is not precise, the pages are not perfectly symmetrical, and that mine arrived creased from shipping. None of these are a real problem, I simply can't give the item 5 stars if it isn't absolutely perfect.
