Colt Tactical Sling Mount, Front
Mounted this sight to my "classic" Windham heavy barrel WW15 and the fit was excellent. It's a Colt original, so that says it all.
I have to say that Brownells customer communication during the order and shipping process is exemplary. They gave regular updates on the status of the order and a number of notices as to the tracking positions of the shipment up to, and including the delivery notification. You don't often find such high quality service from other vendors. Brownells is my go to supplier for the vast majority of my gun item needs.

Bought several of these over the years
Of recent, Colt has been consistently releasing these for sale. I've gotten a few of these over the years by being on the notification list. Mine came with the rivet assembled at the factor so all I had to do was install it. These will only fit the standard a2 posts with a .750 barrel. I do have an older XM177e2 with the .625 gas block and these rattle like crazy. I had to go find a used one to get it to fit right. On a standard .750 barrel, these fit like a glove. Very well constructed item. I do have a trick to installing these. So what I do is first punch in the lower one near the bottom/bayonet area. Then I would punch in the top pin by going in slightly sideways and it'll straighten up so you can punch it in all the way. I can do it now in less than a minute but at first it took me a good hour to figure out how to get the bottom and top to go in. Once it's on, you'll have a very solid mount. I really like how it fits on a good block 1 inspired build. On "retro" a2s and 727 builds, these make the rifle work really well. Not sure when these were issued into the military but I remember seeing them back in early 2000s. These are always on Out of Stock but if you get on the notification list, it seems to come in every 2 months or so and you can order a few for your rifle(s). As I said earlier, I notice Colt didn't do this 3 years ago and at that time these only came in once a year, if that. So for whatever reason, Colt has been making these in waves and I'm not sure for how long. So get them while they're hot.

This one comes completely assembled all you do is hinge it around the barrel and squeeze or drive in 1 roll pin. Done. There is *another* dealer out there who charges an arm and a leg for the same part and will convince you that they need to charge extra to assemble it (rivet) for you. Good grief. This is cage coded also.

Side sling mount is the exact same mount I've used in the military. All you have to to is install one of the mounting pins. Worth the money .
Perfect for a repro build
Item arrived quickly, well packaged, and as described. Fit to the rifle in a matter of minutes. Perfect for my M4A1 build.
Solid Build; Hard to Find
Well built, nice packaging, and sling loop is assembled to mount. Gives solid attachment to the barrel. Not to hard to install if you follow the procedures. Set pin punches really help here (and elsewhere; I used to ones I picked up 10 years ago from Brownells. Brownells came through with another hard to find item.
Easy install, already riveted
I was expecting the sling loop to not be riveted, but it was. All I had to do was install one of the roll pins in place, too.
