SYNTECH ACTION PISTOL 9MM LUGER HANDGUN AMMO

SYNTECH ACTION PISTOL 9MM LUGER HANDGUN AMMO Reviews & Ratings

Shooters who compete at the highest levels need ammunition built for the demands of their discipline. American Eagle® Syntech™ Action Pistol is specifically designed for the action shooting sports and loaded to power factor requirements with heavy, flat-nose bullets for more reliable knock-downs on steel targets in competition. Like all Syntech loads, they feature the exclusive Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ™), which prevents metal-on-metal contact between the bullet and barrel, eliminating copper and lead fouling as well as reducing damaging heat and friction. Combined with clean-burning powders and the Catalyst™ lead-free primer, Syntech Action Pistol provides the softest-shooting and most reliable performance possible for high-volume competitive shooters.

FEATURES:

  • Official ammunition of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA)
  • Optimized for action shooting sports’ power factor requirements

  • Flat-nose Syntech bullet for better energy transfer to steel targets
  • TSJ eliminates copper and lead fouling, while extending barrel life

Great Ammo for Training & Competition
This is great ammo for both training snd competition due to its accuracy, reliability and less felt recoil. It also is very clean burning, so cleanup is fast & easy. It functions well in a Glock 19.

9mm ammo
In these days when ammo is hard to find, the were the best, although prices have gone up a lit.

Just look inside barrel before & after!,
Less cleaning time Best practice ammo I tried.

Cool idea. Standard Federal Excellence
The concept is to reduce the barrel wear. From what I have seen this seems to be true. Even better the price for this was the same (or cheaper) than the regular FMJ. Hard to beat if it helps reduce barrel fouling and makes things last a bit longer. Also, nice to find it in a heavy 9mm weight.

Good training ammo
This works very well for training in practical/defensive shooting for those who like to run 147 grain JHP loads. Very comparable trajectory and bullet profile, but lower cost.

Works real well and cycles perfectly
works great in my G17 and cycles well, never jamming. Great for target shooting or plinking

Perfect for suppressor use
I bought this because my usual, 147 grain Federal was going supersonic in my CZ Scorpion pistol with Octane 45 suppressor. These stay subsonic and are actually cleaner burning in the gun and suppressor than the 147s or any other 9mm for that matter. I have shot 600+ rounds through this set up and I have not seen any excess red polymer build up in the silencer. Also, shooting out of a CZ Sp0, P01, and Glock 19 these rounds have significantly less recoil and are a pleasure to shoot at steel. My GF loves these compared to my usual 124 grain 1200 fps loads. So getting her to shoot a little more is a plus. Only one downside (or two including the higher price)....check your rounds when loading. I've had one projectile loaded way low/down in the case and another loaded backwards. I noticed the brass sitting much lower than the others in the styrofoam it came in. Obviously the risk is a high pressure round due to projectile set back and I don't know what would happen with the backwards one and I don't want to find out. Just pay attention. Both were sitting noticably lower in the styrofoam compared to the other 49. They were in separate boxes, not in the same 50 round box. They were from the same 500 round case though.

Performed as advertised
Shot clean with less spawling on steel and seemed to hit with authority. Pretty impressed with how clean burning it was in both my 92fs and pc carbine. Had a muted felt recoil in both firearms I ran it through and was plenty accurate enough.

Favorite ammo
I've shot >10,000 rounds of this ammo from my CZs (Shadow, Shadow 2, TSO) and Sigs (P320 XFive Legion). It never fails me (zero malfunction, passed chrono everytime for minor PF), is accurate and soft shooting. I don't reload. Since it was 24-25cpr, I reserved this ammo only for major or other important local matches (USPSA, IDPA, and outlaw). But since the Chinese virus took off, Freedom Munitions 147gr is now 30cpr (used to be 18cpr) and other Remans are always out of stock. So for now I just buy thousands of this whenever it's in stock and shoot this even for my practice as well ... I guess it can't go wrong :0
