A reliable pistol / plinker
This firearm is a smooth Shooting very reliable firearm that I used to teach new shooters handgun safety. It breaks down easy and field strips without any issues. I would recommend this firearm to anybody that wants to start off with a small caliber pistol to learn how to shoot.
Accurate... Easy to clean... Fun to plink
Excellent handgun... clean look... I upgraded the grip to make it one of my favorite range plinkers... Loads of aftermarket accessories to make it your own custom range gun.

Great Little 22
Only had experience with Ruger MKIV's up until this point, but with the rebate it was a no brainer to try this out.
The finish is great, really bright green fiber optic with fiber optic in the rear. Great adjustment on the rear sight but it also comes with a rail section to run a MRDS on a Picatinny-rail adapter. If you wanted a lower profile mount, you'd need to go aftermarket.
The gun isn't as easy to takedown as the Ruger. Not that it is complex. Just has a screw you need to remove.
The threaded section is only 0.400", so likely not safe to run a rifle 1/2x28 muzzle device, like a KAC M4QD if you wanted to go crazy with a can. I'm using a Hux Flow 22 and no issue cycling Remington or Federal Subsonic, nor Aguila or Pink supersonic 22LR.
Comes with two mags out the box, and is very accurate. Some grease mixed with SAE30 on the rails and sides of the bolt, this thing barely makes any noise with subs. A longer non-flow can like a TBAC 22 would be even quieter.
Great little piece for the price. Has a magazine and thumb safety, last round bolt hold open, and the trigger is pretty decent for what it is. Cannot wait to pop some squirrels with this baby.

BUY ONE. BUY THREE.WE DID!
I ordered two of these, his-and-hers. After a few thousand rounds, one of them developed the problem described by Mr X from Atlanta. It wouldn't eject fired cases after extracting them from the chamber. The cases would lodge between the guide rod and the receiver wall. It went back to S&W. Quick turnaround from them. It has run flawlessly since. Please note that we are very abusive to these poor pistols! We have thirty, 10-rd magazines. We load them all and then shoot steel targets as fast as we can pull the trigger, 150rds at a time, per pistol. Then we do it again, and again, and again. These poor pistols get VERY hot, but they run perfectly. We replace the recoil spring in each pistol every eight thousand rounds. This is very good service life for a spring that's subjected to this much heat. We like this pistol so much that we bought a third! I've set it up as a hunting pistol with a SIG red dot dot, a TANDEMKROSS Halo ring and a VOLQUARTSEN barrel. The aftermarket support for this gun is huge! Note re: the thumb safety issue that is mentioned by another Brownells reviewer. One of my buddies does experience this problem, but it's caused by his very exaggerated, thumbs-up shooting style. No one else, including 8-yr-old kids, has had this issue. Also, the day-glo sights are VERY effective! They are very eye-catching and very fast to recover from shot-to-shot. They are the perfect set-up for shooting a steel duelling tree! To summarize, BUY IT!
Great Beginner's Pistol!
I have had pistols for a few years, but I never did mutch with them until recently. I bought a Victory 22 on this site to practice range shooting on the cheap as 22lr ammo is about four cents per shot. While I enjoy my 9mm pistols, I have the most fun with my 22 because of the low recoil and ability to get some tight groups at 25 yards. I would highly recommend this pistol for anyone who is new to shooting and wants to eventually work his or her way up the calibers after learning the basics on this awesome pistol
Good but not great
I have had my Victory for 6 mo. now and I have 2 issues with it. The disassembly screw will come lose after 1- 2 hundred rounds. Also if I use Remington Thunderbolt ammo the gun barrel gets so much lead in it that I have trouble pushing a cleaning rod down the barrel. I use the same ammo in my Browning Buckmark with no problem.
Featured Dealer - Wasn't
Great product. Great price. Friendly customer service. But the shipment was delayed over a week due to the fact that Brownells did not have the current FFL paperwork for their listed "Brownells Featured Dealer" that I chose. This was cleared up after several phone calls and emails. I settled on a different FFL for a few more bucks just to get the order sent. Unnecessary headache. This was my first experience with Brownells. I'll probably buy from them again, but next time I'll be ready for the shenanigans.
Might be a fun gun
Got the pistol Saturday clean and lubed it and hit the range Sunday. Fired 100 rounds stopped counting the fte at 30. Tried four different brands of ammo same problem with all of them. Pretty disappointed that S&W would ship a pistol in this condition.
