Complete rear sight kit replaces the standard blade on your Smith & Wesson revolver and provides a wide, V-shaped notch. Enables faster pick up of the front sight, especially with fine bead and ball front sights. Adjustable for windage. Some “J” frame models may use a smaller head diameter. The screw in this kit has a .217” diameter head.

SPECS: Kit contains sight blade, windage screw, nut, spring, and plug. Available in three blade heights: .122" fits J-frame only; .160" & .196" fit K, L, and N-frame. Blade heights measured from bottom to top of blade, not including lug.

Best sight I have used on a revolver

With the right tools changing the sight out was easy. Improved my shooting substantially, I can now shoot my 629 with precession and that is important when hunting.

Good kit, wrong screw

This is the same sight packaged by S&W, but Brownells was kind enough to supply a windage scre, nut, detent and spring. Trouble is that the screw included in this package is for the K,L,N frame not the J frame. The correct windage screw part number is 940-071-620WB. I have brought this problem to Brownell's customer supports attention, and they kindly shipped the proper screw. I'm sure they will resolve this packaging error shortly, but keep it in mind. Thanks Brownells!!!

Good idea, not so good fit

Love the V-notch idea but, the execution not so much. Looks like poor quality control here. Detent plunger doesn't fit into the hole in the sight adjustment screw head. You can always send it back for a refund or, a replacement. Meanwhile, your revolver sits sightless on the bench.
