Tried it many times with a small screwdriver or dental pick and it’s always a disaster. Once you get the hang of this it’s a no-brainer

Doesn't fit Aluminum Frame pin
Pin slot is too small for aluminum frame rebound spring pin. Brownell's gunsmith says tool is not designed for aluminum frame pin. Designed for stainless-steel frame pin. Most/Many S&W J-Frame guns have aluminum frames!!! Please specify what this tool fits!

This item only works for 1 thing, but it works amazingly well. It saves me time and prevents me from launching rebound springs.i actually pruchased this for a friend because i like mine so much.

Quality tool.
Looks and feels like a high-quality tool. I believe it is a must-have for replacing the rebound spring in my S&W 642, as well as thorough cleaning. I haven't used it yet. I am looking forward to using it. Maybe next week.
