It Works
Many things don't meet expectations, this does. I used to get 3-5 failures to extract every magazine. Simple install, took me 5 minutes. Ran 75 of my sketchiest ammo and no FTE, it was prefect. Ejected spent cases with authority.
Magic
Neither my S&W 15-22 pistol nor rifle configuration would run standard velocity nor subsonic ammo. Failure to feed issues and stove pipes fequently occurred frustrating my kids and me. Installed this and the extractor spring Brownells sells in two minutes per gun, and this gun now runs all my CCI standard velocity and Norma Tac 22 rounds flawlessly supressed and unsupressed. SiCo Sparrow is the can. Thanks for having these items.
Easy to install and resolved jamming
I sent my rifle back to the s&w. They sent it back saying they installed a new extractor which did not fix the jamming issue. I decided to install the volquartsen extractor and problem solved. Took less than 5 min to install. I dont hate my rifle anymore
Nothing to lose
I bought my M&P 15-22 before reading the owner reviews describing the ejection issues that plague this rifle. Before even firing my new M&P I ordered and installed this upgrade extractor. It definitely appears to be a beefier design than the OEM part that it replaced. I have had zero malfunctions with my new rifle, and although I can't say it's due to this upgrade my gut tells me it was a good purchase.
Fixed my M&P 15-22!
I cannot be happier that I switched to this extractor. I was ready to send my rifle back to S&W for service. It would jam multiple times in every magazine, regardless of ammo brand. Put this extractor in as a final attempt at a fix, and now its running like a champ! Shot approx 500 rounds this weekend, many as fast as I could with multiple mag dumps, and no issues. Only 5 jams out of 500 rounds, and all five where fails to feed where it looked like the round didnt feed from the magazine properly. This M&P15-22 is going from one of my most problematic guns to one of my favorite guns. Cant recommend this extractor enough. S&W should include these from the factory.

Just get it
Flawless. Installs in 30 seconds. Eliminates all FTE and stovepipes. Tried several types of ammo...after a thousand rounds...perfection. The cheapest, most important fix you can give your M&P AR15 22. For $11 it will trans form your gun. Be sure to or the plunger as well. Metal instead of cheap poly stock part. It's a commercial..it just fixed my gun.
Fixed it!
Simple to install, although there is opportunity to send the spring and plunger flying. This hands down is the best mod for the 15-22. I was having issues with weak ejection, ultimately causing a couple of out of battery firings. I havent had a single issue with the gun since with roughly 3-4 thousand rounds of various types of ammo.
Best Ever!
I had a major problem with jamming right from the get go with my rifle. The factory pins are terrible on this gun and I would get at least 1 round almost every clip fail to discharge. I put Anti Walk Pins and this extractor on this gun and it runs like clockwork now. This is a MUST if you have the M&P 15-22
