SURESHELL POLYMER SHOTSHELL CARRIER

SURESHELL POLYMER SHOTSHELL CARRIER Reviews & Ratings

Carry more ammunition “at the ready”: Professional operators who are unwilling to sacrifice quality, performance, and durability, will find Mesa Tactical’s polymer shotshell carriers to be an especially attractive and economical alternative to the low-cost consumer grade plastic shell holders offered by competitors. SureShell® Polymer Shotshell Carriers are made from durable, impact resistant polymer. This shotshell carrier system, available in a six shell configuration, features shell holders injection molded from glass filled polymer, secured to the receiver by a lightweight aluminum back plate with brass threaded inserts. The SureShell Polymer Carrier also includes an innovative dual rubber friction system that reliably holds shotshells in place. Some SureShell carriers include high temperature adhesive backed, die-cut rubber gaskets to protect the host shotgun’s finish.

The Sureshell receiver mounting system for Remington 870, 1100 and 11-87 shotguns uses a combination of steel fasteners threaded into a steel pin (at the rear) and paired Chicago screws (up front) for more secure attachment to the shotgun without the risk of pinching the receiver. The mounting plate even features a window over the shotgun serial number location, to make it easier for armorers to inventory their weapons.

Models are available with and without integral Picatinny rails for mounting optics. Like all SureShell carriers, the new polymer SureShell shotshell carriers work well in all climates and environments, and are designed to withstand the daily use and abuse to which arsenal weapons are commonly subjected. This system securely holds shells in place until needed at which time they are readily accessible and easily removed for rapid reloading.

Quality Piece
I installed this on my Remington 870 Tac 14 w/ arm brace. Install was easy. The shell carrier retains the shells nice and snug, no problem holding them in place brass down. This is my second Mesa polymer shell carrier. I have one for my Benelli M2 Tactical as well. Both work perfect. I recommend this quality piece.

Probably the Best Side Saddle
Very good side saddle. Good balance of snug fit and ease of removal for the shells. The inserts that hold the shells in place will get less snug if they're in there for extended periods, but will spring back quickly. The polymer construction is basically bulletproof and probably the better option compared to aluminum. If you're running a shotgun for defensive use, you're going to use what's on the gun and this side saddle gives you that.

Fit perfect on my 500
I just changed out the rubber tubes that holds the shells to the white ones, the others were a little to tight for me. over all I like it have it on my other 2 shotguns. Make sure you use 242 blue locktite on the screws not red.

Fit.
Sad to say that the carrier is not as flush as I would like. At the securring points it is exact. However, at the front of the carrier there is about a 1/16"- 1/8" opening. It leaves me to believe that this particular carrier is warped. I am wondwering if I should contact or try to straighten the base plate. Not being a gunsmith, I need to consider the out come. Other than that, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Ruined my gun!
Even with loctite applied new ejector screw got loose after a round of target practice and locked my bolt in the action. Now I have a useless gun unless I want to pay a gunsmith 200 bucks to fix a 300 dollar gun. That's what we call totaled. Don't buy this product unless you want a useless shotgun that wont rack. I'm beyond angry...
