Best Lock Ring on the Market
The Hornady lock ring is bar far the best on the market. I am replacing the rings on all my RCBS dies with these. Steel-on-steel means no chemical welding, unlike aluminum rings. Screw never touches the threads; no chance of damage. Best ever!

Hornady Lock and Load Die Lock Rings
I have been reloading over 50 years and the first thing I do when I get a new die is to take off the factory lock ring and put on one of these. The set screw types damage the die threads if they are too tight and slip when removing the dies if they aren't tight enough. These rings make the die easier to tighten and loosen using the flats without damaging the ring, unlike dies that need a special tool or just don't have any flats.

Good grip without marring the die threads.
I put these on all my dies. These rings grip tightly without any chance of marring the die's threads.

Best die locking rings on the market!
Besides using the Hornady locking rings for all my dies, I recognized their use for locking the brass case holders for my Giraud case trimmer in order to return back to the proper depth for trimming cases when switching different calibers... ....

Makes Dies Changes Easier
What I really like about these rings is: 1) they are made of steel; 2) for many dies that do not need to be adjusted - these fix the depth of die in the press; 3) they do not depend on a lead shot being tightened against the die threads which can slip over time. I use these on many dies especially sizing dies, bullet seating dies, factory crimp dies, etc.

Best rings out there
These rings are the best ones that I have used. They are steel and hold their position once the ring is tightened down. I use them on all of my dies. Great product.

Best Locking Nut/Ring
These split rings hold the die without the fastener needing to contact the threads. They have a hex key fastener to pinch the ring to the die, which is better than the other rings available. Rings stay where you put them. Rings are made of steel with a flat section so you can use a wrench on them. I use these on ALL my sizing and seating dies for my single staged presses. I have tried other rings, these to me are the best.
