Hornady SubX bullets
I haven't shot these bullets yet but from the reports of others, I'm expecting great results from these in my 30-40 Krag, and my 30-30.

Excellent bullet
This is the most accurate bullet I have used in my 300 blk out. I have shot sub MOA groups with 5 different powders when working up loads for my 8 inch 300 blk out.

Great consistency and stability
I loaded a couple hundred of these subsonic. 980 fps avg. Shooting out of an AR I built with a 7” faxon barrel 1:5 twist. Gemtech One suprressor. They shoot very tight groups at 50yds even though I’m using a red dot. I have yet to shoot a deer or pig but after watching penetration and expansion test on YT I’m confident they’ll perform well. I don’t plan on shooting this beyond 100yds subsonic, have yet to load it into supers to try further.
Sub-X 30 Cal
I am shooting supressed short barrel 300 Blackout and at 1100 fps thes are still holding 1-1/2" group at 100 yards. last 4 shots top left quadrant
175gr. Sub-X is for 30-30, NOT for 300 AAC.
As of July 2023, Hornady Customer Service says the 175gr. Sub-X bullets are intended for use in 30-30 and not 300AAC/Blackout. There is no load data in the Hornady App for these bullets with 300AAC as of today. Hornady says the 190gr. Sub-X is intended for 300AAC. Though tough to find, the 190 is a better choice for subsonic anyway. If they made a 220gr. Sub-X, that would be better still. 175 is too heavy for supersonic 300 and a little light for Subsonic, but they are the correct caliber for 300AAC. Without published load data, you’d be working up a load at your own risk.
